Cytosport has brought to the market a supplement product for athletes and bodybuilders and named it Muscle Milk. This muscle building supplement can be found in the form of powder, drinks, oatmeal, protein bar etc., and its main role is to enhance the performance of athletes, energize them and boost their endurance. As well as with other supplements, before taking Muscle Milk, it is obligatory to seek advice from a nutritionist or a doctor and receive a recommended dose for your body individually.
The producers of Muscle Milk, Cytosport, are confident that their shakes aid the process of muscle recovery after tiring exercises. Furthermore, they claim that they fuel the body, providing it with sufficient vigor to follow through the workouts. Due to such benefits, Muscle Milk gives the opportunity to develop muscles and build their stamina. Finally, Cytosport believe that their supplement is an ideal mixture of carbohydrates, healthy fats and, above all, protein. This sort of blend is the best possible option for improving muscle gain and achieving satisfying results.
Beneficial Protein
Regarding the benefits, they all arise from the fact that Muscle Milk is protein based. To be more precise, 2 scoops of Muscle Milk, which is the size of a serving, feed the body with a staggering 32 grams of protein. The main protein ingredients, whey and casein, are extracted from milk and their nutritional characteristics are more than apparent. It is significant to know, however, that milk proteins are better combined with exercises that with other protein-rich foods, some of them being, for instance, soy or quinoa.
Beneficial Fat
Fat can be as nutritionally valuable as protein, though. A serving of Muscle Milk is characterized by a high level of healthy fat, up to 12 grams. If you are one of those people who are really careful when it comes to their diet, you should not be afraid of taking Muscle Milk. The fat in it does not necessarily have to be wrong or hazardous, as it is widely known as a medium chain triglyceride. This substance can make you achieve quite the opposite from gaining weight, as it will help you burn calories and boost the oxidation process.
Beneficial Carbohydrates
With a diminishing amount of carbohydrates, a serving containing 2 scoops of powder will provide you with 16 grams of carbs. In no way does a Muscle Milk shake comprise high sugar levels – in fact, it has a mere 4 grams in a single shake. In addition to sugar, there are also 5 grams of fiber. Thus, going for a diet low in carbohydrates turns out to be a great advantage as such a choice will promote weight loss more likely than a diet that is low in fat.
Finally, one of Muscle Milk’s strongest benefits is the fact that it contains a blend of maltodextrin and whey whose job is to encourage the synthesis of muscle protein, but only if the supplement is taken prior to a workout. It is also bursting with vitamins, B-complex particularly. The only issue is the fact that our body uses the B-vitamins it craves and then removes them promptly. Therefore, if you consume Muscle Milk in the morning, before starting a gym workout, your body will not benefit from these vitamins, as they will be used up by the time your start exercising.
Regarding the price, Muscle Milk costs similar to other supplement powders offered on the market. If you purchase a ready-to-drink shake, it will cost you $2 or more. However, if you choose to use a powder, the prices range from $11 to $21-$56, depending on the size of the pack itself.

Muscle Milk is a great supplement. I had to diet for 3 and a half months for a bodybuilding competition and had to drink this every day. The taste was great and I felt full when I drank it. I will continue to drink these.
